# Expanding Loyalty Beyond Purchases

Traditional loyalty programs primarily reward customers for making purchases. However, brand loyalty extends beyond just buying products. Our **NFT-powered loyalty platform** recognizes and incentivizes various forms of engagement, including **intellectual property (IP) usage and royalties**, allowing customers to earn rewards in multiple ways.

#### 1. Purchasing Products & Services <a href="#ocg8k9z18g47" id="ocg8k9z18g47"></a>

The most common form of brand loyalty involves directly purchasing a company’s products or services. With NFT-based loyalty rewards, customers can earn **tradeable, transferable, and real-world asset-backed incentives** for their purchases.

**Example Use Case**: A sneaker brand issues NFT rewards for every $100 spent, redeemable for exclusive merchandise or event access.

#### 2. Utilizing Brand Intellectual Property (IP) <a href="#c7t9refzu423" id="c7t9refzu423"></a>

With **RWA tokenization**, IP assets such as **patents, copyrights, and trademarks** can be tokenized, allowing multiple investors or consumers to own a share of the asset. This enhances brand engagement, as users can interact with and benefit from a brand’s IP while earning loyalty rewards.

**Example Use Case**: A gaming company tokenizes its in-game character designs and lets players purchase fractional ownership, rewarding them with exclusive perks and royalties from future game sales.

#### 3. Earning Royalties from Brand-Backed NFTs <a href="#lwqpsnb8f1t" id="lwqpsnb8f1t"></a>

Tokenization also enables **smart contracts** to automate royalty payments. Whenever an IP asset (e.g., a song, movie, book, or patent) generates revenue, **blockchain-based smart contracts** distribute payments to token holders in real-time. This eliminates intermediaries, reduces costs, and ensures transparency.

**Example Use Case**: A **fashion house** releases **limited-edition NFT collectibles**, where holders receive a **small royalty every time the NFT is resold**. This creates an ecosystem where users benefit financially from engaging with the brand.

#### 4. Increased Liquidity for IP Assets <a href="#j2x9az2ffnwv" id="j2x9az2ffnwv"></a>

Traditional IP rights are often **illiquid**, meaning they are difficult to sell or transfer. Tokenization allows IP to be **traded on secondary markets**, making it easier for creators, brands, and investors to **monetize their holdings**. This further enhances customer loyalty by giving them tangible ownership in a brand’s success.

**Example Use Case**: A **music label** tokenizes its song royalties, enabling fans to purchase fractional ownership in an artist’s work. Fans earn rewards each time the song is streamed or licensed, deepening their connection with the brand.

#### 5. Engaging with Brand Ecosystem <a href="#id-4wqihmrqy23m" id="id-4wqihmrqy23m"></a>

Beyond direct purchases, loyalty can also be shown by interacting with a brand’s digital ecosystem—such as **participating in challenges, attending events, or providing valuable feedback**. Tokenized rewards make these engagements more meaningful and financially beneficial to users.

**Example Use Case**: A **coffee brand** rewards users who **check in daily on its mobile app, attend store events, or engage in sustainability initiatives**, earning **NFT-based perks** that offer discounts or exclusive experiences.
